THREE SERVICES
The right level of care for the watch in front of you.
We offer three distinct services, each scoped for a different kind of need. No upselling, no unnecessary extras — just an appropriate level of attention for what your watch actually requires.
Back to HomeOUR METHODOLOGY
How we approach every service, regardless of scope.
Every watch that comes through the workshop gets an initial condition check before we do anything else. This is not a formality — it shapes what we recommend and what we quote.
We photograph the piece at intake, document its condition, and note anything that might affect the service. The technician handling your watch is the same person from start to finish. When we're done, you receive a written record of what was found and what was done. That's consistent across all three service levels.
Intake & condition assessment
Photograph, condition note, initial findings shared with you.
Scope confirmation & quote
Clear scope, clear cost. Work begins only when you confirm.
Service & quality check
Work carried out, followed by function and timing checks where applicable.
Documentation & return
Written service record issued. Watch returned in the same or better condition.
SERVICE 01
Care & Comfort Service
A gentle upkeep visit for everyday watches that simply need some attention. Covers battery renewal, gasket and seal inspection, case and bracelet cleaning, and a fit adjustment for comfort. Handled promptly, with a short written account of the work carried out on completion.
This service is well suited to quartz watches in regular use — watches that keep reasonable time but haven't had any attention in a year or two. It is not a disassembly or movement service; for that, see the Mechanical Service below.
What's included:
- Battery replacement with quality cell
- Gasket and seal inspection; replacement if worn
- Case and bracelet ultrasonic cleaning
- Bracelet link and clasp adjustment
- Written service note on collection
Process steps:
- 1Intake, condition photograph, and initial assessment
- 2Battery replacement and seal check
- 3Cleaning and bracelet adjustment
- 4Function check, documentation, return
SERVICE 02
Mechanical Service & Regulation
A full workshop service for automatic and hand-wound timepieces. The movement is disassembled, cleaned in an ultrasonic bath, dried, lubricated with calibre-appropriate oils, and reassembled. Timing is measured on an electronic timing machine before and after, and both sets of readings are included in the condition report issued on completion.
This service is for owners who want a mechanical watch properly maintained — not patched. It includes a settling-in check at four to six weeks if any variance is noted in the post-service readings.
What's included:
- Full movement disassembly
- Ultrasonic cleaning of all components
- Calibre-appropriate lubrication throughout
- Timing machine measurement (pre and post service)
- Case and bracelet cleaning
- Written condition report with timing readings
- Settling-in check available at 4–6 weeks if needed
Process steps:
- 1Intake assessment and pre-service timing measurement
- 2Disassembly, parts inspection, ultrasonic cleaning
- 3Reassembly with calibre-appropriate lubrication
- 4Post-service timing measurement and regulation
- 5Documentation issued; settling-in check offered
SERVICE 03
Heritage Restoration
A considered, individually scoped restoration for older and cherished watches. This may coordinate case refinishing, dial refurbishment, movement service, and period-correct part sourcing — the exact scope depends on the piece, its condition, and the owner's intentions for it.
Created for families preserving a keepsake and collectors maintaining a piece's integrity. Work proceeds in stages with updates at each point, and a full record is issued on completion. The price is agreed in full before any work begins.
What may be included (per scope):
- Initial in-person assessment and scope discussion
- Full movement service (as per Mechanical Service)
- Case refinishing (conservative, period-appropriate)
- Dial assessment and stabilisation if required
- Period-correct part sourcing for replacements
- Staged progress updates throughout
- Full written restoration record on completion
Process steps:
- 1In-person assessment; scope and price agreed
- 2Movement strip and full condition evaluation
- 3Parts sourcing; client updated before any ordering
- 4Case and dial work; client updated at each stage
- 5Final assembly, timing, and quality check
- 6Full restoration record issued; watch returned
